PUMA 2025: a crucial focus on the treatment of pulmonary fibrosis
By Prof. Luca Richeldi
The PUMA2025 (Pulmonary Update, Monza) Conference, with the theme “Rare diseases and related topics", promises to be an event of great scientific importance, scheduled for December 11th and 12th, 2025, at the IRCCS San Gerardo dei Tintori Conference Center in Monza.
On Thursday, at 2:00 p.m., I will speak on a topic of fundamental importance for pulmonology: “The treatment of pulmonary fibrosis: from stable to progressive forms”.
This lecture will provide an essential update on therapeutic strategies for pulmonary fibrosis, exploring the evolution of treatment, from the management of stable cases to the challenges posed by progressive forms of the disease.
My presentation will open Session I on Pulmonary Interstitial Diseases, a session that will feature other renowned specialists, including Bruno Crestani (Paris) and Elisabetta Renzoni (London).
The presence of so many experts underscores the Conference's focus on complex respiratory diseases and the need for constant scientific updating in a rapidly evolving field.
