Saudi Thoracic Society: New Therapeutic Frontiers in Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF)

By

Dear colleagues and friends,

I have just returned from the Saudi Thoracic Society International Conference, an inspiring event held from November 6 to 8, 2025, at the Millennium Hotel in Hail, Saudi Arabia. It is always an honor to share the latest discoveries and exchange ideas with the international pulmonology community.

My presentation focused on a topic that is crucial for the future of our discipline: “Emerging Therapies in Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.”

In my lecture, I had the opportunity to present and discuss the latest clinical studies related to the treatment of IPF, with an emphasis on promising new therapies. The field of pulmonary fibrosis is constantly and rapidly evolving, and research is opening up avenues that seemed inaccessible just a few years ago.

We analyzed how these new approaches are redefining our standards of care, offering the possibility of modulating the course of the disease and significantly improving patient prognosis. The enthusiasm for emerging therapies is palpable and demonstrates a global commitment to overcoming the challenges posed by IPF.

It was a pleasure to participate in this conference, which promoted an excellent exchange of knowledge among specialists. Events like this are essential to ensure that advances in research are quickly translated into tangible benefits for patients around the world.

See you at the next scientific meeting.
